Our Team
Emily Kroman, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
(She/Her)
FOUNDER/OWNER • Executive Director
-
Emily founded Grow Behavior Services in 2019 and currently oversees its business and administrative functions, in addition to supporting with clinical team operations. She grew up on Bainbridge Island, and is committed to providing compassionate, connection-based therapy services in a community close to her heart. Emily has worked with autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families since 2005, managing and implementing skill development programs in homes, schools, camps, community settings and research contexts throughout the Northwest and New England. In 2012, she earned her BCBA and Master’s in Education with an ABA emphasis from the University of Washington, focusing on play-based and naturalistic programming centered around goals determined by the child and family. Emily has a special interest in mentoring aspiring BCBAs and related providers, and in addition to ensuring that Grow prioritizes high quality training, coaching and supervision in the use of reformed and ethical ABA for its staff, she also holds a part time role with University of Washington's ABA Graduate Program as a BCBA Practicum Supervisor. In her personal time, Emily loves exploring the PNW with her partner and kids, cuddling with her cats, and starting (and sometimes finishing) projects of all varieties.
Erin Greager, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
(She/Her)
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR • Director of Clinical Operations
-
Erin has been a member of the Grow team since 2020, took on the role of Clinical Director in 2022, and became Grow's Director of Clinical Operations in 2024. She's been lucky enough to work with young autistic children and their families since 2004. She has a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education with an emphasis in ABA. Between 2011-2019, Erin held a number of roles at the University of Washington’s Haring Center for Inclusive Education in the Experimental Education Unit (EEU) as a classroom teacher, BCBA, and supervisor for UW graduate students in the Project DATA program (an extended-day classroom and family support program for preschoolers with ASD diagnoses). Her career there also involved providing training and coaching in Positive Behavior Support strategies for teaching staff. Erin’s areas of interest as a clinician are helping children communicate and advocate for themselves, finding meaningful and joyful ways to connect, and helping families feel successful in the support of their children. She is passionate about issues of race and equity, and creating neurodiversity-affirming spaces in both her work and personal life. Erin and her partner have lived on Bainbridge Island since 2011, and love being surrounded by the forest and water. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, taking care of her many house plants, and dancing or drawing with her son.
Milly Nicholls, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
(She/Her)
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR • School Partnerships Manager
-
Milly joined the Grow team in 2021, and in 2024 she earned her BCBA and Master’s in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Washington. Since 2023, Milly has played a key role in expanding Grow’s school-based services, leading efforts to create partnerships with local school teams and establish strong, collaborative relationships with local teachers and administrators to support successful implementation of ABA strategies in public and private classroom settings. Milly has worked in the field of Special Education and disability services both within the USA and UK since 2003, practicing in schools, clinics, recreational charities and adult day service settings. Throughout her experience, Milly's primary focus has been compassionately meeting the dynamic and evolving needs of the whole family in advocating and accessing meaningful, assent-based services. She absolutely loves play and the application of naturalistic play opportunities to connect with her clients and build a lasting rapport. Milly moved from the UK with her partner and two children in 2010, and has lived in Florida, California, and now calls the PNW home. In her free time, Milly enjoys reading, spending quality time with her family and gardening (the weather and plants remind her of the UK!).
Ali King, M.A., BCBA, LBA
(She/Her)
CLINICAL SUPERVISOR • Clinical Mentorship and Development Lead
-
Ali joined the Grow team in the summer of 2024 as a Clinical Supervisor. She grew up on Maui, and she fell in love with her work providing services for autistic adults on a community farm there in 2012. Ali earned her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorders at Ball State University in 2018, along with her board certification as a behavior analyst. Ali has since worked in a variety of settings including homes, clinics, and schools. She is committed to meeting clients and families on their level, finding joy in creating meaningful learning opportunities, and assisting parents in supporting their children’s unique needs. She values using a collaborative approach throughout her partnerships with other disciplines, and building connections through play that foster creative paths to helping kids find their voices. Additionally, Ali has a deep interest in training future BCBAs, including helping developing providers learn how to incorporate neurodiversity-affirming practices into aspects of their work, and she currently oversees Grow’s efforts to provide ongoing meaningful mentorship and professional development opportunities for its staff and team.
